As an active member of SfHP and a psychologist board certified in clinical health, I am a strong advocate for the contributions of health psychologists to be justly valued. It would be my honor to serve as a Representative for SfHP to the APA Council and continue to advocate for the needs of health psychology. I have been enriched through my service of SfHP on the ECP Council and The Health Psychologist Publication Committee. I worked alongside Dr. Zeeshan Butt and Ms. Barbara Keeton to facilitate our pivot to a virtual APA Convention as the 2020 SfHP Program Chair.

My work at Penn State Health’s Family and Community Medicine Department includes teaching family medicine residents and sports medicine fellows, providing inpatient and integrated outpatient patient care, and conducting research. I am a member of the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers. I have been elected to serve in leadership roles including the Secretary/President Elect for the American Academy of Clinical Health Psychology Board. I currently serve on the APA Membership Board, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Nominating Committee, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association’s (PPA) Board of Directors (Public Interest Board Chair), the Integrated Care Committee (chair), and am Director of the Emerging Leaders Program.

I am accomplished in leadership related to advancing health psychology in academic medicine and in regional and national venues. I am confident I can do so as the representative for SfHP. Thank you for your time and consideration.
