Workshop to Prepare for Specialty-Track Predoctoral Internships
The Student Council, along with Division 22 (Rehabilitation Psychology), Division 40 (Clinical Neuropsychology), Division 17 (Counseling), and Division 54 (Pediatric Psychology) will be hosting this collaborative skill-building session. The interactive workshop is aimed at preparing clinical and counseling psychology trainees to pursue specialty-track predoctoral internships in rehab, health, pediatric, and neuropsychology, as well as other specialty areas of clinical and counseling psychology. The workshop will include a brief introductory presentation about pursuing specialty-track internships. Attendees will then break into interactive small groups led by internship training directors and specialty-track supervisors. Students are invited to participate in informal “questions and answer” sessions, receive feedback on their CVs and academic/clinical preparation, and engage in mock interviews. Students may stay in multiple small groups or elect to stay in a single specialty area.

Campus Representative Program:
This coming August will be the second year anniversary of our Campus Representative Program. We started the Campus Representative Program to increase inclusion and engagement of students across graduate programs that have a focus in health psychology, and believe that it has been a successful first year. We currently have campus representatives for over 50 universities, and more than half of these representatives hosted events at their respective universities!!
To learn more about this program, find your campus representative, and/or apply to become the campus representative for your program, please go to: http://www.health-psych.org/CampusRepresentativesProgram.cfm
